Bridging Innovation, People, and Capital: My Journey as a Global Connector
From a young age, I’ve been fueled by curiosity and desire to explore. The phrase “The world is your oyster” has been my guiding principle, shaping my journey across continents, from South Korea to South Africa, Singapore, the UK, the US, and now, Switzerland.
Growing up immersed in different cultures, I quickly learned to adapt to new languages, new ways of living, and most importantly, the art of connecting with people. What began as a necessity became a strength, allowing me to build meaningful relationships and recognize the power of networks.
My career began as a commodities trader on the trading floor, where I gained a deep understanding of economic theories in action—learning the value of money, global supply chains, and business acumen. While this environment taught me resilience and decision-making, I was eager to expand my impact beyond numbers. That desire led me to entrepreneurship.
I founded a consulting firm that allowed me to work across diverse industries, working on business models and strategic growth. Today, I work closely with VCs and startups to drive fundraising, venture scouting, and commercial strategy. My mission is clear:
- Helping investors and startups connect, scale, and create impact.
- Strengthen ties between Switzerland and South Korea by fostering collaboration between their startups and innovation ecosystems.
- Championing female representation in entrepreneurship and investment.
Reflecting on my journey, I often return to Steve Jobs’ words: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” Every experience—each country, each deal, each business—has led me to where I am today. Working in an ecosystem centered around innovation is both intellectually stimulating and deeply fulfilling. And as a mother, I take pride in contributing to a better future for the next generation.
With my global network and knowledge, I act as a bridge, connecting ideas with execution, talent with opportunity, and capital with impact. Meeting Manoj was one of those serendipitous moments when two like-minded individuals, driven by a shared passion for innovation and supporting founders of diverse backgrounds, crossed paths.
