Founded in 2007 by two HEIG-VD students, Joël Winteregg and Raffael Maio, NetGuardians is renowned for its AI-based financial crime prevention solutions. When it first began, the Vaud-based Fintech received financing from FIT, enabling the company to get started.

Nowadays, NetGuardians offers its solutions in more than 30 countries around the world. It is one of the world’s top 50 AI risk management companies in the Chartis Research RiskTechAI 50 ranking and this summer, it received the ‘Use of AI for Private Banking and Wealth Management’ award.
